Senior Pressure Vessel Engineer


Reports to
Executive Vice President, Engineering Manager.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
Senior Pressure Vessel Engineer is responsible for timely completion of calculations associated with manufacturing of ASME & DOT pressure vessels. This person will work with the Sales Department to ensure accuracy of the customer’s requirements as well as compliance with applicable codes. This position also is responsible for supervising the creation of the drawings for the manufacturing of said pressure vessels and DOT vehicles.

This position has some supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at the job site. The noise level in the work environment and job site can be loud. This job also operates in an office environment.  This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires the following positioning requirements with the associated percentage of the workday denoted beside each one: standing (10%), walking (15%), bending (5%), kneeling (5%), squatting (5%), and sitting (60%). Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
 Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Normal days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., 40 hours per week. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel
Up to 25% travel expected
Required Education and Experience
Bachelors of Science (B.S.) in Engineering and proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD/ Inventor software, Codeware COMPRESS, and experience designing ASME pressure vessels.

Preferred Education and Experience
B.S. Mechanical Engineering and DOT design experience a plus.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Proficient in MathCAD and Microsoft Project a plus.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance
Lawfully eligible to work in the United States.

While new to the staffing industry, she quickly established herself as a vital member of the team, leveraging her deep industry knowledge to identify, recruit, and place top-tier talent in legal, healthcare, IT, Accounting and Finance and general clerical roles. Her ability to understand both the needs of our clients and the aspirations of job seekers allows her to make meaningful matches that support long-term success for both clients and candidates.
