Estimator
Job Description
The Estimator is responsible for inspecting damaged properties, preparing accurate estimates for mitigation and reconstruction services, and managing insurance-related documentation and communications. This position requires expertise in insurance claims, restoration processes, and Xactimate software to ensure estimates are complete, compliant, and profitable.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct on-site inspections of fire, water, mold, and storm-damaged properties.
Prepare detailed estimates for mitigation and reconstruction projects using Xactimate software.
Review and interpret insurance policies, scopes of work, and claim documentation.
Communicate and negotiate with insurance adjusters regarding estimates, supplements, and claim approvals.
Identify and document all necessary repairs and restoration services.
Prepare and submit supplements and change orders as additional damages are discovered.
Collaborate with project managers, technicians, and office staff to ensure accurate project scopes and smooth project execution.
Maintain thorough and organized documentation, including photos, measurements, sketches, and claim files.
Monitor project costs and estimate accuracy to maximize profitability while ensuring customer satisfaction.
Serve as a point of contact for customers, insurance carriers, and adjusters throughout the claims process.
Stay current on industry standards, insurance guidelines, and Xactimate pricing updates.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in restoration estimating, insurance claims, and reconstruction/mitigation services required.
Proficiency with Xactimate software required.
Strong understanding of fire, water, and mold restoration processes.
Knowledge of insurance claims handling, supplements, and negotiations with adjusters.
Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
Ability to read construction plans, scopes, and estimates and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

These formative years sharpened her natural leadership skills and helped her develop a keen understanding of the digital business landscape.
Heather currently resides in Brandon, Mississippi, with her husband and their three children. A dedicated sports mom, she spends much of her free time on the sidelines of baseball and softball fields, cheering on her kids and embracing the strong sense of community that comes with it.
In January 2020, Heather joined PSG, bringing with her a lifetime of insight into the staffing industry. Having grown up in a family deeply immersed in staffing, she came to the role with an intuitive understanding of how to match people with opportunity—and businesses with talent.
