Job Description

We are an established engineering firm specializing in industrial automation and control panel design/fabrication focused on building real systems and solving real-world problems. Our work includes control panel manufacturing, PLC programming, and system integration across a variety of industries.

Position Overview:

This is not a traditional sales role. We are looking for a highly organized, process-driven Commercial Manager to build and manage our sales execution systems. This role will bring structure to our pipeline, improve quoting and forecasting processes, and help leadership focus on the most profitable opportunities.

This position is critical to helping LEC scale. You will work directly with leadership to build the commercial systems that drive growth and improve how we win and execute work. If you are someone who thrives on organization, accountability, and building systems — this role is for you.

 Key Responsibilities:
 
  1. Build Sales Process & Structure
 
  • Implement and manage a structured sales process
  • Establish pipeline tracking and opportunity stages
  • Improve visibility from quote to order
  • Implement CRM best practices
  • Manage Pipeline & Forecasting
 
  1. Run Weekly Pipeline Reviews
 
  • Track opportunities and ensure follow-through
  • Improve forecast accuracy and reporting
  • Identify stalled or misaligned opportunities
 
  1. Support Business Strategy
 
  • Help identify high-value target markets
  • Assist in prioritizing the right types of work
  • Provide input on pricing and pursuit strategy
 
  1. Coordinate Across Teams
 
  • Align sales efforts with engineering and production capacity
  • Improve handoff from quote to project execution
  • Reduce surprises after order placement
 
  1. Improve Quoting Process
 
  • Standardize quoting practices and review processes
  • Support margin consistency
  • Work closely with estimating and sales team
 
  1. Reporting & Metrics
 
  • Track bookings, win rates, margins, and pipeline health
  • Build and maintain KPI dashboards
  • Report performance to leadership

Required Qualifications:
 
  • 5+ years in industrial, manufacturing, or technical B2B environment
  • Experience with project-based or engineered-to-order work
  • Strong organizational and process-building skills
  • Experience managing pipelines, CRM systems, or sales operations
  • Ability to work across technical and operational teams

Preferred Qualifications (not required):
 
  • Industrial automation, controls, or panel building experience
  • Experience improving or building sales processes
  • Background in high-mix / low-volume environments

Born and raised in the heart of the Mississippi Delta, Heather’s story is rooted in strong Southern values, a deep work ethic, and a passion for helping others succeed. In 1998, she moved to Brandon, Mississippi, where she graduated from Northwest Rankin High School before continuing her education at Hinds Community College. There, she earned a degree in Early Childhood Development, laying the groundwork for what would become a dynamic and multifaceted career path.

After completing her education, Heather embraced motherhood and took on the role of a stay-at-home mom. It was during this chapter of life that her entrepreneurial spirit truly came to life. She built a thriving online business from the ground up—one that not only allowed her to be present for her growing family but also gave her hands-on experience in online marketing, customer service, and small business development. These formative years sharpened her natural leadership skills and helped her develop a keen understanding of the digital business landscape.

Heather currently resides in Brandon, Mississippi, with her husband and their three children. A dedicated sports mom, she spends much of her free time on the sidelines of baseball and softball fields, cheering on her kids and embracing the strong sense of community that comes with it.

In January 2020, Heather joined PSG, bringing with her a lifetime of insight into the staffing industry. Having grown up in a family deeply immersed in staffing, she came to the role with an intuitive understanding of how to match people with opportunity—and businesses with talent. Her journey at PSG began as a Talent Acquisition Specialist, where she quickly proved herself to be a strong communicator, a natural connector, and a team player with a deep commitment to client success.

Her dedication and performance led to a well-earned promotion to Director of Business Development, a role in which she now thrives.
