Job Description
- Management / Operational Accounting:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial transactions.
- Manage and support the accounting team with dynamic leadership that creates an environment of trust and productivity, including the design of an organizational structure appropriate for achieving the department’s goals and objectives. Â
- Analyze financial data to identify areas of improvement in processes.
- Responsible for internal controls and ensuring compliance with regulations and policies.
- Lead the preparation and presentation of the monthly financial reports.
- Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors during financial audits.
- Coordinate audit activities, provide necessary documentation and explanations, and address audit findings and recommendations in a timely manner.
- Follow-up with operations on non-compliance issues regarding internal audits.
- Key player on the management team.
- Understanding of and interest in business operations.
- Financial Reporting and SEC Compliance:
- Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
- Provide analysis to support business decisions and operational activities.
- Review job costs and provide summary analysis of trends, issues, and opportunities to management.
- Seek to improve and streamline accounting and finance activities.
- ERP implementation
- Lead the ERP implementation for the finance module.
- Evaluate current finance policies and procedures and, from that, develop the deal workflow to be used with the new ERP system.
- Work closely with internal and external finance and technical teams and evaluate how system changes will affect workflow, data, and reporting.
- Recommend changes based on their evaluations and input.
- Develop a training curriculum for finance. Training materials should include user guides and job aids.
- Budgeting/Cost Management/Banking:
- Work with the team on the annual budgeting process.
- Monitor budget performance and manage expenses to achieve financial objectives.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements across the business.
- Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Manage cash appropriately for business operations.
Qualifications
Â
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field; Master's degree or CPA preferred.
- 7-10 years of experience in financial management, accounting, or related roles, with a focus on manufacturing companies.
- Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners ****relation avec les operations.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Excellent accounting software user and administration skills. (MS Suite, ERP systems, etc.)

Libby was born in Mississippi, moved around a bit, and returned to graduate from Morton High School and attend Ole Miss. After beginning part-time work in high school with her father’s medical practice, she continued in the medical field for the next 20 years. She has worked in a management role in multiple settings including hospital, homecare, private practice, and as a consultant in software transition for hospitals. Libby spent the last several years at home raising her boys and currently lives in Kosciusko with her husband and children.
